Q: On November 23, you join Cold Case for at least four episodes. Tell us about your character.
Tania: I play Francine "Frankie" Rafferty, this young, funky lab technician. She wears six-inch heels to work and has band pins on her lab coat. She's very confident, and she's not afraid to kid around with the rest of the guys. I feel like she's going to stir up a little bit of trouble.
Q: We hear she kids around a lot with Scotty (Danny Pino)
Tania: She meets Scotty Valens, and it seemns that they have really good chemistry. She had a troubled childhood, kind of like Detective Valens, so I think that's what he sees in her that he likes. I think there's some good things in store for those two.
Q: Can you see yourself working in the lab for a while?
Tania: On other shows, I was playing the victim or the suspect, and I think it's nice to finally be on the other side of the law. And it's very nice to be back home [in Los Angeles] and stay there. Although I couldn't really complain about travelling to Hawaii [for Lost].
Q: You got killed off as Ben's daugther, Alex, on Lost, but death doesn't mean much on that show. Has there been talk of you going back?
Tania: There has been talk of Alex flashbacks, maybe Danielle Rousseau flashbacks. I think they're going to tackle a few of those in this next season, and it's possible that Alex returns this year as some kind of ghostly apparition haunting her father, because her death was pretty traumatic for him.
